Perlu diketahui bahwa (fog) (x) = f (g(x)) yaitu memasukkan nilai fungsi g(x) ke fungsi f(x) sama halnya dengan (gof) (x) = g (f(x)) yaitu memasukkan nilai fungsi f(x) ke fungsi g(x)
a. f(g(x)) = 1/x
f (1/x+1) = 1/x
f (1/x+1) = 1/ (1/x+1)
= x + 1
b. (g(f(x)) = 1/x+1
(g(1/x)) = 1/ 1/x + 1
= 2
